Because Peter says that the living promise is secured past the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, he may take in mind the resurrection of the laic also. God has promised that the laic in Christ, the ane who is born once again by the Spirit of God, will be resurrected 1 day and will spend eternity with Him in the new heavens and new world (Revelation 21).
